Tired: 4e is best/worst edition fighting.

Wired: 4e was an edition.

Inspired: 4e was a troubled edition with pros and cons that ultimately proved too much of a shift from the paradigms of play that had developed. Turns out some of my favorite things in 5e originated in 4e. It was an important edition for the evolution of the game, and has a lot to recommend it, and many lessons to teach.

Oh, and and lots of people enjoy it. 🤷‍♂️
