@JeremyECrawford Hi Mate, got a question regarding thunderwaves 15ft cube, is it the top or the bottom one here: https://t.co/KfMyOqMef7

@Equinox23411 Who is the little guy? The spellcaster?
— Jeremy Crawford (@JeremyECrawford) August 2, 2016
@JeremyECrawford yeah the spellcaster. I’ve always thought of it as 15ft in each direction rather than a 15×15 cube.

@Equinox23411 Thanks! Now I can answer the question.

A cube area of effect is on one side of the spellcaster. Neither image is correct. #DnD https://t.co/3bwtRCtbcV

@JeremyECrawford I'm having trouble visualizing this, could you do a picture please?

Imagine me standing right next to a giant crate, but I'm a wizard and it's a cube of magic! #DnD https://t.co/95xvcWYhPT

If i were to direct the cube strait down towards the ground, would the thunder wave then go out like a nova? or would it be absorbed into the ground?
