Cool! How would someone authenticate a soul coin? I mean.. someone unscrupulous might want to counterfeit them You could certainly cast soul cage and bind a dying soul into an object that looked like a soul coin. (See Xanathar’s Guide to Everything) Binding a soul is a fairly evil act so I don’t think a devil would mind counterfeiting 🙂
