know who wrote the rules for Avernus’ hell-vehicle combat stuff? I’m _haunted_ by the call I had to make yesterday about whether or not MIFFLES could fire the javelin launcher. Is it an attack action on the part of the person doing the launching? It's a bit a gray area, for sure.

When working on them I was definitely thinking it's essentially taking the Attack action, but I can't swear to that as the final official ruling. We need the Jeremy for that.

I could see going either way with it, depending. A cat familiar walking across a control panel and firing off a harpoon or bonemelt sprayer just really sings to me so I'd probably allow it as a DM.

A familiar "manning" a weapon station though, less so.
