Do you have recommended resources for practicing character voicing/acting techniques? When I try to modulate while playing D&D to represent different personalities, most of the time it just comes out slavic or southern Character voices != an accent. You just need a distinctive speaking style. Play with:
Volume: too loud, whispery, trailing off
Cadence: Fast, slow, stuttering
Signature words: catchphrase/word frequent chuckle, um's, uh's, etc.
Pitch
You can do a lot modulating those 4 elements.— Tom Lommel (@tomlommel) December 11, 2021
