A teifling takes fire damage and has Armor of Agathys does it take the resistance to fire from the teifling?

My friends were discussing if temporary hit points have resistance to what ever damage resistances you have. Far ex. A teifling takes fire damage and has armor of agathys does it take the resistance to fire from the teifling?
