so a player raised a good point. A sheild can be strapped to a shoulder and still fire a bow as seen with bucklers in 3.5. Was their a reason why this concept was left out in 5e? Bows don’t deal anymore damage than a one handed melee weapon. simplicity – more likely to create a specific shield for that than create a universal rule
