Adventurers run amok with pride
Wreaking havoc as law and order both slide
Leaving complicit kings and barons horrified
Into paying bards to sing ballads of adventuring villified
So adventurers’ rightful fame is denied
But as underground folk heroes they’re certified— Ed Greenwood (@TheEdVerse) October 2, 2018
Dragon now sore wounded, it groans and snorts out sparks
It leaves a gory trail ere flying to distant parks
Flapping heavily, pain-roaring, as in its wake drop bits
And it sleeps with many a shudder, and a few brief writhing fits— Ed Greenwood (@TheEdVerse) October 3, 2018
I saw a tall knight riding by
His lady stands yonder still
In the sad silent wake of her last cry
For he went to war against her will— Ed Greenwood (@TheEdVerse) October 3, 2018
