A friend and I are in a deep philosophical discussion about whether or not Warforged are “robots”, literarily speaking. Can you help us out? Personally, I dislike using the word "robot" in association with warforged. Their behavior isn't programmed; they possess sentience, emotiions, and potentially souls; they are partially organic and grown as opposed to constructed. @botheyesblinded

It all depends on your precise definition of "robot." But I feel that many people think of robots as being driven by programmed behavior; being technological in nature and constructed entirely by design; and having limited or no emotions. None of these apply to warforged.
