@JeremyECrawford Can an Archfey Warlock self harm to trigger Misty Escape? Could scale walls, survive falls with a little stab in the thigh?

As DM, I'd allow a warlock to trigger Misty Escape with self-harm, but not with any sort of pulled punch. #DnD https://t.co/rJOvETjIDY

@DaddyDM @monkib0ySo @monkib0y @JeremyECrawford stabbing yourself for 1 point of damage is an acceptable way to escape being grappled? I said no pulled punches. Using the rules, how do you stab yourself with, say, a dagger and guarantee only 1 damage?

I purpose a knife tool is not going to do damage a dagger does & a smart warlock will keep 1 handy for this use. @JeremyECrawford @monkib0y

An improvised weapon deals 1d4 + modifier damage. #DnD https://t.co/f6hfWshWDC

All are trained in unarmed strike which does 1 point +StrMod of damage (Str 10 = 1 point) @JeremyECrawford @monkib0y https://t.co/zmj741fuK7

@DaddyDM @monkib0y That is correct. But I was talking about improvised weapons, not unarmed strikes.
