I’m building a new kalashtar character (level 10 Circle of Dreams Druid). DM & I are new to this world so he wanted to where a kalashtar’s quori is vulnerable outside of killing an entire lineage. Can the connection between them be disrupted? #dnd #dnd5e #Eberron By canon, there’s no way to break the connection between a kalashtar and their quori aside from death. A DM can create something for story purposes—a manifest zone, an eldritch machine—but it definitely shouldn’t be easy, or the Dreaming Dark would have done it long ago.

Thanks! What exactly is a soul binding? Is it only an effective weapon against the Inspired because they jump bodies & remain whole (vs the Kalashtar Quori which is spread out amongst a lineage)? That's exactly right. With the Inspired, a single Quori moves between multiple bodies, but it is only in one body at a time. This means that it's more focused and fully in control, but it also means it can be bound. The diffusion across a lineage protects the Kalashtar Quori.
