Ah, so it’s more or less a DM’s discretion kind of issue. I was under the impression that it was a hard and fast rule that direct deific heritage affected things so they couldn’t simply start as a beginning adventurer. Nope.
However, if it's widely known that someone is the "son or daughter of a god" they may well get treated as special. Which unfortunately all too often means murdered or captured for exploitation.— Ed Greenwood (@TheEdVerse) February 24, 2019
