I’m DMing my first campaign at the lgs! It’s been going really well. Got asked by some of the players about running another game for them as a “DM for hire”. Huge confidence booster, but have you ever done this or heard of it? Is it a good idea? I haven’t done it, but I know many who have! #dnd tip for DMs: character death is an element of the game that can change depending on the type of game you run. Set that expectation early in the campaign, so PC death is as inconsequential or as grave as you or players and the plot dictates.

@matthewmercer @mattcolville it uncommon or unwise to think about DMing if one’s only rpg experience extends only to a few play sessions? With life commitments as a priority I feel I might have to “roll my own” to get a group of gamers together. But it feels daunting AF.
