These days, when so busy with writing projects (e.g. Creatures for Fate Of The Norns) I just sit down at the keyboard and write my tweets. They'd pay them gladly, of course. And send a Harper to find out what her favorite garments were, and create multiple duplicates (High Lady Cylyria Dragonbreast loves clothing, and pays for such things out of her own fortune).

Oh! @TheEdVerse That’s wonderful! First a fishman stabs her, getting blood on a SILK shirt … and then there were those mud monsters belching slidge and exploding! It’s enough to ruin even the gods’ resolve & constitution. And her partner’s magic has its limits 😔 just to sate my language nerd side: this character is from Moonshaes. Novels tend to use a Hollywood Irish-Scots gaelic culture and accent. Do the MSs have own language or just a quirk riddled dialect, like filled with Thorass and Elvish or something?

Most in the Moonshaes speak a dialect of Common with local pronunciations (you can use Gaelic or other Celtic lilts, yes) and a few old local words from the Northmen (of Ruathym, et al), who raided there often in elder times.

What is Laeral’s current relationship with the Harpers?
One more question, if I may: What is Laeral’s current relationship with the Harpers? I’m guessing the Harper/Moonstars schism is long forgotten by all, but she’s not bothered to rejoin?Oh, no, Laeral is a Harper. But like the rest of the Chosen, she takes orders from Mystra, not from other Harpers. Think of her as an independent operator of the highest senior rank. (But she will aid other Harpers, providing refuge/hiding, healing, minor magic, etc.)

is there a specific year (range of) that Dragon Heist is to take place within the chronology of FR?Without spoiling Dragon Heist, let me say that it can be played in any of the four seasons of a year, so the timing is slightly variable.
It takes place after the events of my novel DEATH MASKS, which is set in 1491 DR, The Year Of The Scarlet Witch.

Mike Mearls: I want to get a sense of what people think feels right about two-weapon fighting
Tinkering with two-weapon fighting again. I want to get a sense of what people think feels right. So, do you agree that a character wielding two weapons should deal damage that is about midway between the average for a one-handed wielder and a two-handed wielder?

I don’t understand why someone dealing two weapons, who is a master of two weapons, wouldn’t be able to do the full damage on both weapons. It’s usually lighter weapons that are dual wielded anyway, why not give the full d4 or d6 +proficiency for the second weapon? The big thing is that at low levels, it’s super good compared to the other options, then comes back into line once fighters/rangers/paladins get their second attack.

Somebody was telling me their RP concept for a dagger/sword character literally yesterday. We were also lamenting that daggers are so worthless… Funny thing – if you set the off-hand attack to be a dagger without ability mod, and give one extra dagger attack per normal attack, the damage is almost a perfect match to wielding a two-hander
