I just cited the two of you for my final project in literary theory. Specifically the positive (imo) effects of the sex and gender diaspora blurb in chapter 4 of the PHB. When it was written, did you think it was a bold move, or that it was time? for the record, I love that you did it. I see it as telling us: "we will never limit who you are, or who you want to be, we encourage you to explore new ideas and identities". was there any concern about including it? Was there fear of a social/political criticism?

In most cases seeing your roll first gives you a pretty good idea if it’s time to use that feature, but I feel you.

Which is why I let players know if shield will be effective or not, I don’t force them to guess and gamble a spell slot. True but not true enough. The rule is in no way worth the space it takes up in the book, the game, or anyone's brain.
