I just cited the two of you for my final project in literary theory. Specifically the positive (imo) effects of the sex and gender diaspora blurb in chapter 4 of the PHB. When it was written, did you think it was a bold move, or that it was time? for the record, I love that you did it. I see it as telling us: "we will never limit who you are, or who you want to be, we encourage you to explore new ideas and identities". was there any concern about including it? Was there fear of a social/political criticism?

No, not really. I mean, telling people to do what they want and be what they want is the most D&D thing we could do. I think people who would be troubled by it would be happier with other games.
