Maybe not interbreed biologically, but a god might intercede on the couple's behalf

“There are two sorts of people, in life,”
1)
“There are two sorts of people, in life,” the wizard murmured. “Those who look before they touch, would never dream of vandalizing anything, and leave things alone that don’t belong to them. And then…” He trailed off.#epic fantasy— Ed Greenwood (@TheEdVerse) August 7, 2018
3)
“…there’s our thief,” the cleric picked up the sentence smoothly. “Who will soon, if he’s not a LOT more careful, fall OUT of life. If he’s unlucky, right about NOW.”
The explosion that befell then was brief but powerful. Pieces of thief slapped their faces wetly. Both calmly wiped clean, surveyed the wreckage, and turned away.
“Only the third room, and that’s four thieves already,” said the cleric.
“The dungeon is winning,” the wizard agreed.#epic fantasy— Ed Greenwood (@TheEdVerse) August 7, 2018

Does the Abyss have any sort of hierarchy?
Gentlemen, the Nine Hells have a dedicated hierarchy due to Devils being Lawful Evil. Asmodeus is clearly the architect/Lord of the Nine. Does the Abyss have any sort of hierarchy? Are the Demon Lords all equal in terms of power? They are not equal, but they don’t truly know who is mightiest until the fight each other. Until then, they fight via the proxy through the demons they control.

Would/could a lesser demon work to supplant a Demon Lord, like Demogorgon or Fraz-Urb’luu? Oh yes, they constantly plot to do so

I’m having trouble coming up with “wilderness” encounters that are more compelling than just fights. Any ideas?
My players are headed to Mechanus tomorrow, and I’m having trouble coming up with “wilderness” encounters that are more compelling than just fights.
Any ideas? I feel like I’m missing a great opportunity because it’s such a unique place.I’d look at Catch-22, Brazil, and 1984 for ideas to capture the idea of a relentlessly, often maddeningly, ordered place, where individuality is seen as a threat.

Any probability to make more complex weapons on 5e?
this approach might hit that – 5e tries to nest complexity in class/subclass, rather than in gear
