“Thoughts and prayers,” murmured the thief, cranking his hand-winch and ascending his line back up to the balcony The thief grinned down at him and hurled a throwing knife into a Watch officer’s face. “Behold: Thoughts!”

Those knives had felled the two Watch closest to the cleric, who was retreating and babbling protestations of innocence.
“True to training,” the thief sighed at that, and swung down on his line to fell the last of the Watch “HURRR!” bellowed the barbarian, from down the alley. “Those were MINE to kill! Go find your own hapless targets!”
“I shall,” the thief called back. “These Watch have plenty of weapons, but no purses. I want coins.”

Prices are largely a function of supply and demand, and the Realms has enterprising/competitive/energetic merchants and well-developed trade routes, with few monopolies…so prices will overall tend to be low (though seasonal and local shortages will of course push up).

Special thanks to the person who paid at the McDonald’s drive thru with $16 in coins today. Bonus points for screaming at the dude working the register for not counting your pennies quickly enough. When it was done I swear everyone in line stopped to commiserate with the dude.This is one of those times where I kind of miss using cash. I would’ve given that dude a $20 on general principle.
