DnD
Can a character with cunning action and fast hands perform something like this?
@JeremyECrawfordHe has a halberd in his hands and rapier sheathed.
He has a distance of 11 feet between his foe.
He lets go of his right hand from halberd
(Left hand still holding halberd but not using it)
with his right hand, draws rapier, move 6 feet.
Attack with rapier.
Take the disengage action. Move back 6 feet.
Sheathe his rapier.
Put right hand to halberd again.

Could one allow multi-classing for a Paladin that uses only finesse…
@GawkerMademe1Could one allow multi-classing for a Paladin that uses only finesse & has a Dex + Cha > 13 rather than Str + Cha > 13 ? A DM wouldn't bust the game by allowing that.

When I take the Search action, do I have to specify what I’m searching for?
@DPennywayWhen I take the Search action, do I have to specify what I’m searching for? How does the DM know what kind of check to ask for? depends on the situation, but typically no. Check is perception or investigation. Difference is subtle, but I'll explain.
— Mike Mearls (@mikemearls) May 12, 2016
Perception applies when the question at hand is, "Will a character notice the presence of something?" https://t.co/om2AQC1OUM
— Mike Mearls (@mikemearls) May 12, 2016
Investigation answers the question, "Does a character understand the significance and meaning of something?" https://t.co/om2AQC1OUM

@SoulofTwhit @webadatgames @DPennywayit’s a tabletop RPG, the rules are all guidelines anyway. This is how to allow players to use either yeah, and it comes down to how the DM wants to present traps – simple and quick, complex puzzles, etc
— Mike Mearls (@mikemearls) May 12, 2016
@mikemearls @DPennyway so Perception notices the weird coloration of the tiles, while Investigation finds out how they trigger a trap?
— Thomas Whitney (@SoulofTwhit) May 12, 2016
Exactly! https://t.co/y99qpjSjbx

Displacer beast, does a grapple against it have disadvantage?
@JeremyECrawford Displacer beast, does a grapple against it have disadvantage even though it's not 'attacking' and is a check vs attrib?
— Navarran (@Navarran1) May 3, 2016
The displacer beast's Displacement trait affects only attack rolls. #DnD https://t.co/vp1SJ3oQvI
