@Lyle_Trout how do you handle multiple attempts at a skill check? If picking a lock fails is it fair to say “it was beyond you today.” i'd require a short rest before trying again – rest, study, refocus, but rules as written PC can immediately attempt again

What do I need to prepare Curse of Strahd?
Planning to run Curse of Strahd for my group next month. What do I need to prepare, @mikemearls @ChrisPerkinsDnD ? Creepy dice? Fake blood?

Start working on your Eastern European accents. Candles and eerie music might be nice! https://t.co/bAnMBIsb76

Mystic Barbarian multiclass
@DjRyyoMystic/Barbarian multiclass use disciplines that does not need concentration while raging? I'd say no – limitation on spellcasting should apply to psionics

Does Witch Bolt end as soon as the target is out of range?
@JeremyECrawford Does Witch Bolt end as soon as the target is out of range? Or does it end after their movement is complete?
— Nick Wester, P.I. (@WeHaveSnacks) February 4, 2016
Witch bolt ends the instant the target is outside the spell's range. #DnD https://t.co/gNszqP6DQX

Adjusted experience points
@RobertPascuttin Hi Mike. Players are asking me why actual xp is given instead of adjusted xp. What was design purpose of this? it's kind of hacky – adjusted XP is there only for comparing difficulty. it's not "real" XP.
— Mike Mearls (@mikemearls) February 17, 2016
@RobertPascuttinMaking me wonder what “xp” represents now. the system really shouldn't use XP as a measure – it muddies the issue of its meaning.
— Mike Mearls (@mikemearls) February 17, 2016
@RobertPascuttinThanks for the reply! If adjusted xp says something is more difficult, shouldn’t players get more xp then? not necessarily – the system is trying to capture the inherent difficulty in fighting more than 1 foe

Lord Neverember
@ChrisPerkinsDnD Mr. Perkins, I've a burning question to ask. What would Lord Neverember do if a true heir to Neverwinter were found?
— CaffeinatedConquests (@CafConIsOn) February 14, 2016
Lord Neverember would use his considerable resources to make the true heir "disappear." https://t.co/wldDbHNmvo
— Christopher Perkins (@ChrisPerkinsDnD) February 14, 2016
@ChrisPerkinsDnD @CafConIsOn So Neverember is evil? I thought he was neutral.
— Danilo Kartalovic (@Dindomir) February 15, 2016
He's not evil. He's acting on what he believes is the city's best interest and genuinely wants to guard Neverwinter. https://t.co/BjbcBntEKq

Any advice about being a good DM ?
@ChrisPerkinsDnD So ill be starting with 5E edition of D&D any advice about being a good DM will be my first time with D&D In general
— Patrick Slate (@BishiBoshi1) February 21, 2016
Don't get hung up on rules. Try to be fair. Let the players exercise their imaginations and make choices. Have fun! https://t.co/XtlL3DMbve
— Christopher Perkins (@ChrisPerkinsDnD) February 21, 2016
@ChrisPerkinsDnD @BishiBoshi1 May I suggest also to not be too linear about the story you wish to tell. Make a situation rather than a path

Good advice! https://t.co/6ITVpTh95w

Is the sling in Magic stone still a ranged weapon?
@TheNamesNewanda Is the sling in Magic stone still a ranged weapon? Does it work with Sharpshooter feat? Or benefit from archery fighting style? only if those apply to spell attacks – if they specify weapon attacks, then no
