The intent is that a circular area of effect is circular whether or not you're playing on a grid. #DnD https://t.co/ejDE2CyLSV

More on circles and grids: if an AOE covers at least half a square, it affects the square (DMG, 251). #DnD https://t.co/ejDE2CyLSV
— Jeremy Crawford (@JeremyECrawford) December 7, 2015
@AmphieussSo for 5th edition it would mean a fireball is circular instead of the old 3.5 way ? So left is right ? Yes, 5E circles are circular. Yet nothing is stopping a DM from turning circles into polygons if that works better for the group.

@Amphieuss @JeremyECrawford @ChrisPerkinsDnD personally, I like the circle, give advantage on saves to anything in partial covered squares

When the players pursue a course of action that might get the party killed, smile and ask them, “Are you sure?” https://t.co/HCHbskPsjW

@ChrisPerkinsDnD I'm about to attain a General Business Management degree. Would the D&D sector of WotC have a use for me?
— Ryan Enright (@Ryan_Enright) October 28, 2015
That's probably a more useful degree than the ones I have. https://t.co/x8J3mXnzlo

@ChrisPerkinsDnD How about a degree in Bioarchaeology – I know where best to hide the bodies!

Our beholder disintegrates the bodies. https://t.co/ejcQ4cs7zT

@ChrisPerkinsDnD What kind of degree would you recommend? I'm currently working on my English degree right now.

Good choice. Whatever your degree, let it fuel your passion and creativity. https://t.co/4peVIdDxGF

Can a paladin cure ghoul fever?
@TadenRifCan a paladin cure ghoul fever by laying on hands on the victim ? Does ghoul fever still exist in 5e BTW, MM says nothing… I think we cut ghoul fever (don't have book on me), but I'd say that a paladin can cure it as a disease

Does Jack of All Trades or Remarkable Athlete help saves?
#SageAdvice @JeremyECrawford Bard's Jack of All Trades & Champion Fighter's Remarkable Athlete features add to Concentration checks, right?
— B Lynn (@DaddyDM) November 4, 2015
Maintaining concentration involves a Con. save. Jack of All Trades & Remarkable Athlete don't help saves. #DnD https://t.co/c9n0vYHO1E

@JeremyECrawford Does the Dueling fighting style apply to the Battlerager's spiked armor attacks?
— ChaosDingus (@ChaosDingus) November 2, 2015
The Dueling feature applies to a melee weapon wielded in one hand. Spiked armor is worn, not held. #DnD https://t.co/EFOijye1B9
