Psionic level 10
@timelordscienceHave a player in my group frantic to use Psionics but they’re level 10. Any suggestions for boosting these rules up for testing? it's a bit tricky – you can start with the spell point rules in the DMG (they were built for psi), add extra atk as per ftr

@jaa0109 I imagine you’ve gone farther than level 5 for Mystics. Hypothetically, any guidelines for going past level 5? Hypothetically.
you can kind of fake it using DMG spell points, add extra attack, but it's kludgy an the character might be boring

Psionic in organized play
@Kez_Darksun @gregbilsland @Wizards_DnDCan we use this content in organized play?
sorry, but no. OP DMs have a lot to juggle, and we don't want them also policing playtest content

Psionic d8 HP
The article has been corrected and is now ready to go. Enjoy our first step into the world of psionics in 5e – http://t.co/nGhABJUeMJ

@bedirthanwhy a d8 for HP? I’d think a psionist is more like a wizard than any other class. a d8 makes a good comp to a cleric, which lets the design encompass a much broader range of archtypes

Psionic Immortal Mystic
@Undead_MerchantPsionics PDF looks great, but Immortal Mystic has zero need for INT. Features scale with points/level. @mikemearls, is this intentional?
yes, still need Int for power attack/save DC (tho not important for immortals), but I'm ok with the immortal dumping it

Psionic release date
.@DLalichIs there a target date for official release of Psionics? This fall seems unlikely, maybe next spring?
like the core 5e game, will release official rules for psionics when they hit our high targets for quality. that's our deadline.
— Mike Mearls (@mikemearls) July 6, 2015
@Maldroth @DLalichwill we have a playtest period like what was done with the core rules?
yes! targeted release date is when it is thoroughly tested, approved, and complete, just like 5e

@sirgourlsI had assumed that was pretty true of everything we see in UA? That we’ll see those things in an print once they’re ready? assuming they represent concepts people like, yes

Deathknight’s Hellfire Orb
@nahualrpgis a deathknight’s Hellfire Orb considered spell damage for a paladin’s Aura of Warding spell damage resistance? no, it applies specifically to spells.
