@Bloody_BarghestDo the CR’s of creatures like wights and wraiths take their resurrected minions into account? Or should they start fights solo?
start fights solo – if you throw in extra monsters, award XP for them

DnD
Druid’s no-metal rule
@ChrisPerkinsDnD A friend of mine has trouble with Druids' no-metal rule. Are metal weapons exempt, or do they need, like, wooden scimitars?
— Miracle Alex (@NonagonNonsense) June 12, 2015
See the PLAYER'S HANDBOOK. The no-metal rule applies to armor and shields, and druids are proficient with scimitars. https://t.co/3XbIMKbMtS

@ChrisPerkinsDnD @NonagonNonsense what's the official stance on wooden/leather replacements for plate/scale/splint? #DND #dnd5e

Errata errata
Addressing a nuance in the PH errata: the rule lets melee weapon attacks use unarmed strikes, despite those strikes not being weapons.
— Jeremy Crawford (@JeremyECrawford) June 10, 2015
@corymacdonald It's in the errata document: "Instead of using a weapon to make a melee weapon attack, you can use an unarmed strike …"
— Jeremy Crawford (@JeremyECrawford) June 11, 2015
@corymacdonald Haha, all right. I just want to make sure people are seeing what's in the new text. I know it's a nuance one could miss.

Beast Master’s animal companion command
@jeffvmaharIs it true that a Beastmaster’s animal companion will just sit there being attacked unless I use my action to command it?
nope – dm's call, but it's still a creature, not a robot. would protect itself IMO
— Mike Mearls (@mikemearls) June 14, 2015
@jeffvmaharOk great. Now if I use my action to give it an attack command, will it continue to attack or do I need to spend another action?
I'd run it like this – command get it to do exactly what you want, DM can make judgment calls keeping in mind it's an animal

Attack and special attack
@seekay“If you’re making an attack roll, you’re making an attack.” Is the inverse also true? Eg does MM trigger Hex? The inverse isn't true. Some special attacks, like grappling (PH, 195), don't include an attack roll. @mikemearls
— Jeremy Crawford (@JeremyECrawford) June 13, 2015
@seekayThanks! A spell without a roll like Magic Missile or Burning Hands still isn’t an attack (eg for Hex), right? Correct. If there's no attack roll or an effect isn't called an attack, it's not an attack. @mikemearls

Monster immunity to nonmagical weapon attack
@JeremyECrawfordThe intent is resistance to nonmagical bludgeoning damage, regardless of source (MM errata preview). I guess this means that lycanthropes will be immune to falling damage after all, eh? 😉
— Jonathan Longstaff (@pukunui81) June 11, 2015
@pukunui81 Lycanthropes and several other monsters are exceptions. For now, read "nonmagical weapons" as "nonmagical weapon attacks."

Lolth pronunciation
@ChrisPerkinsDnD Did you already discuss how to pronounce Lolth? Is it LOL-th or Loth? Big discussion at our games. 🙂 Thanks in advance.
— fieldmechanik (@fieldmechanik) June 9, 2015
The second L isn't silent. The O can be long (lowlth) or short (lawlth). https://t.co/Tw8Trh49b6

Pinned and attack
@JeremyECrawford Can a pinned creature use an action to attack with a freehand, or are they totally restrained until grapple is broken?
— Ben Jackson (@oilpainting71) June 1, 2015
The restrained condition doesn't stop you from attacking. It imposes disadvantage on your attack rolls. https://t.co/UnNE4ixNxv
