This is great advice but I have a follow up question. Do you think DMs who just act as a Dungeon Master for the premade books (LMoP, PotA and so forth) are missing out? Should those DMs be trying to make their own content or just be comfortable with the content avaliable? They're different but overlapping creative enterprises. I don't think it's necessary to create content to be a great DM. But I think it's important to DM and play to create great content for DMs and players.
