PHB p85 says Divine Smite max 5d8. Crit on level 1 smite vs fiend, 6d8 (2d8 + 1d8 fiend bonus, x2 since crit) or 5d8?

@MathPhDwhoplays a crit would ignore any caps imposed by the special ability. you can pump it up to its max, then let the crit add on
