DM Tip: Let them do the thing.
Even if the thing upsets your "plans" a bit. Let them do it (within reason). Allowing players to play and act outside of the box can create the best moments in your session.oh please, this. my GM always rolls with my weird plans, as long as I make the rolls of course. I talked a young dragon into believing we are a mover‘s crew that’s supposed to help him resettle his lair. +9 Deception (Bard) with Advantage, I got up to 27. lol
