So do you usually ad lib the dialogue you have written down? Or do you find yourself trying to keep to what you wrote for any reason?

It depends on the importance of the information I need to convey. If it’s DIRE to the narrative, I’ll try to not stray too far from those particular notes. Otherwise, I’ll kind of improvise the jist of the line I wrote.

That is what I figured, do you find yourself recycling unused options elsewhere or do you like to keep them open where you first put them? It depends on how juicy the story aspects are, if they could make sense elsewhere, and how fun they would be for the players. If the drive for each is strong, I may tailor elements to show up down the road. Waste not, want not. 😉
