Does Speak with Animals/Beasts (spell, forest gnome skill, or UA ranger ability) give a bonus to Animal Handling checks? I'd allow the character to use Charisma checks in that instance, would make a lot of basic things automatic that would normally require checks because it eliminates the communication gap that Animal Handling tries to bridge

Makes sense, even though it doesn’t help my forest gnome ranger – charisma is his dump stat so he’s better off sticking with regular animal handling. yeah, in my games i tend to let it allow for commands with no check for that reason
