When I decided to pursue TTRPG game design full time, I knew it would be a radical work shift…
But I don’t think enough people talk about how wild it is to have to generate new ideas every day/hour on demand…its a whole different work ball game. In summary, I'm glad I'm here working as a designer full time. I worked my ass off to get here. I couldn't be happy anywhere else.
And while that is true, this career simultaneously continues to be the most herculean challenge of my life, every single day. ✏️

Mood!
My workload is mostly self-inflicted (I still freelance on the side), but there was a HUGE difference in my brain-sponge between working in healthcare full-time and the struggle that is generating new, interesting ideas consistently as a full-time creative. It's tough!
