How do you deal with “meta-phrasing”?
I mean I ask things like “Are you sure, you touch it, you cross the bridge all at once, etc” and the players pause to think or change their in game actions? Is there a way to ask/phrase things without giving things away? Take care to use the same phrasing in moments of the game that have no consequence or moment worth paying attention to.
