Passive Perception!
How does the Math for passive perception get affected (if at all) in situations like with Reliable Talent or Ear for Deceit, in which the probability distribution is the same, but your numerical floor is much higher?— Themyscira (@ThemyscirKnight) February 4, 2020
Right, but the calculation for your PP is based of 10 (being the average roll of a d20) + Perc bonus. If your curve changes (adv on Perc check for examp) the math changes (you get +5).
It's strange that Reliable Talent doesn't get an impact like that.— Themyscira (@ThemyscirKnight) February 4, 2020
It's not based off average rolls, it's just based off 10. Things that mess with rolls (outside of advantage/disadvantage) don't mess with passive scores.
