Since we’re doing underground queries: how far “underground” do drow cities tend to be? I got to ruminating on how long it would take for a raiding party to get to the surface and back…are we talking Barkley Marathons material? Or do they just use gates? The depth of drow cities vis-a-vis the surface varies widely. We of the Realms Above hear/know most about the "upper" cities that raid/trade with the surface the most.
