So, like, how hard is it to DM a certain dungeon crawling game if one has never played said game? Asking for a friend. Are you playing with friends or with strangers? And are you making up your own story or using one that’s prewritten?

These are all very good questions which I wish I had answers. To guess, friends and, uh, I don’t know since I have never played so I don’t really know what’s involved/difference. Don’t stress about it. It’s a game. It’s something you’re all doing together to have fun. Don’t worry about everything being perfect, and feel free to say you may not follow every rule.

If someone at the table is a rules expert you can use them as a resource; you may be running the show, but you’re all working together and the players aren’t your opponents. But it’s also up to you to decide which rules to use and which to ignore.
