Simple answer, up to the DM which or both they want to use.
Could be interesting if there were functional differences between them.

I wasn’t thinking mechanics so much as story-wise, two warlocks each with (rival) genie patrons. Right, that's what I mean by functional differences. What does it mean to be one instead of the other.
