Unsure about Path of the Beast, I think a Shifter Barbarian can fill in this theme better
Way of Mercy and Oath of Watchers have interesting options
I like the noble genie patron an their powers even though I’m still unsure on how dnd handles Djinn in their rules Can you elaborate on what you mean by "handles Djinn?"

It’s weird for me that they’re listed as Genies in the Monster Manual and then there are four kinds according to the classic greek elements while to my knowledge ignoring the arabian mythology they come from, and also using the singular Djinni for the air genies instead of Djinn Djinn/djinni is pural vs singular, so one djinni, a band of djinn.
As for the mythology, many D&D monsters spin off of real world myths and then become a thing of their own within the game's context. They still maintain much of the original mythological flavor, I think.

They've gotten deeper treatments in past editions, particularly in settings like Al-Qadim, that leaned more heavily into some of the mythological activities ascribed to folklore djinn.

I didn’t even know about the Al-Quadim setting, thank you 😁
It’s also just a minor thing for me and I am looking forward to use them again in my campaign
My favourite example for creatures stepping away from their originals are still the gorgons, now called Medusa I believe all the old Al-Qadim material is available on the DMs Guild if you want to check some out.— Dan Dillon 👥 (@Dan_Dillon_1) January 14, 2020
