I picked up eberron though I wont lie the character options (and retconning of wayfarers?!?!?) Definitely disappointed me.
I was also hoping for more than a couple of paragraphs about other lands but I’ll keep working off of @HellcowKeith blog and various wikis I have a game that is firmly situated in the north of Aerenal, so I consume everything I can rapidly.

You'll see more about Aerenal in Exploring Eberron. It's not a primary focus of the book, but goes into more detail than Rising.
