I use Insight in 5E to grant players a…flash of insight. They roll well they get a hint as to how two things are connected, or the meaning behind something they're stumped on.

Instead of a Lie Detector skill, which is a reasonable interpretation of the text, but not one I like

I wait until I can see they've hit a block, AND I think it's reasonable their character COULD have a flash of insight about this.
