Hi! I’m a DM and about to start up a new adventure with my ongoing 5e group. I want to run Descent Into Avernus, but they’re all Level 7 and want to keep their characters… any advice on where/how to move them into this book? You can increase the level (or number) of devils in the intro. Throw in some devil lackeys and make one of the Vanthampurs transform into a devil.

There was a version of the story that had all the PCs in Elturel for a big celebration on the day that it slides into Avernus. You could kick it off that way (with a bang) and immediately give your high level PCs a big problem to chew on. 🙂
