if a darkness spell is cast in area, where someone searches for something dropped how do you handle that in your game? Is it a Perception check, Investigation, do you change the stat to DEX since they are searching with their hands? I'd make it a Wisdom (Perception) check, since they have to search for it at all rather than just looking down to pick it up.
If there are multiple objects around and they might grab the wrong one, I'd instead make it Intelligence (Investigation) to determine which is correct.
