If I multiclass a Blood Hunter with a Monk could I activate the weapon rites on my fists?

Could I get some clarification on something, if I multiclass a Blood Hunter with a Monk could I activate the weapon rites on my fists? Technically, raw, you could not (as unarmed strikes don’t count as a weapon). The Order of the Lycan DOES gain this feature, so if you multiclass a Lycan/Monk, it’s doable!

Safe Advice Compendium, page 10, clarifies that unarmed strikes are melee weapon attacks, even though the attacker’s body isn’t a weapon. So it seems like this would qualify, then? Correct me if I’m wrong. You don’t use the feature on a weapon attack, you use it on a weapon, which in those rules it explicitly says unarmed is not a weapon. My apologies, bud!
