Question for the team: If jumping costs movement, and a feature lets me extend my jump distance beyond what my speed (or dash limit) is, would I then be hovering mid-air if I try to jump beyond my speed in a round? At least until the next round, when I can finish it? You don't hover between turns, no. You go as far as your remaining speed allows, and that's where you land (or fall, depending. Watch that first step!).

So, example: Base speed = 30 feet. Base running long jump distance = 20 feet. Jump spell triples it to 60 feet, but there’s no way (RAW) I can jump that far on a turn without something like the Dash action or a Haste spell? Correct. Giant jumps often require Dashing.
