so if my player’s secure Dagult’s stolen gold in Waterdeep and then are confronted by Jarlaxle and he promises them a Lordship in Luskan would he actually honor the deal? If the "he" is Dagult, MAYBE (to make use of the player as a dupe). If the "he" is Jarlaxle, a far less likely maybe (lordship conferred for the same reason, but Jarlaxle far less interested in adventurers as dupes when he can have wealthy well-connected merchants).#Realmslore
