Loved this video but I'm still a little confused. If the original, demi-godly elves scattered, and the ones that settled in the Feywild became Eladrin, what, then, are the Fey?

The Feywild is filled with fey creatures of various sorts. The original elves, which were fey, were just one of the many colors that make up the fey rainbow. 🌈 #DnD https://t.co/Wj0xLgPTdS

I had that question as well. Were there fey that were not original elves, or does fey creature mean descendant of the original elves from the Upper planes

There are many fey creatures that are not part of the elven family. The elves were simply some of the first folk in the glorious realm that is Faerie. #DnD https://t.co/SXbyMQOy2R

I guess I'm just having a hard time understanding how Fey is defined. Something made by Corellon? Or…?
Thank you for answering and sorry for the further questions… I think maybe I need a flow chart…

Who are the fey? The creatures of the Feywild. Some of those creatures—the original elves—are descended from Corellon. #DnD https://t.co/CUmAtX2fQ3

So when it's said that Elves have Fey ancestry, it's not that there is a race called "Fey" that they descend from, it's that their Elven ancestors were denizens of the Feywild, which makes them Fey. It's the plane itself that makes beings Fey by imbuing them with its magic.

Want to learn more about fey and other creature types? Curious what makes something fey versus a fiend, for instance? See the introduction of the Monster Manual for a description of each creature type (p. 6). #DnD https://t.co/4mmxiwWxhU
