Comment from discussion [Spoilers E106] Tal'Dorei Campaign Setting AMAHey Matt, I’ve been running in Tal’Dorei for 15 sessions now and finally got the campaign book pdf to throw in REAL bits instead of my own imagination. I love it.
I used the Ravager Stabby-stabbers and with their special ability to keep stabbing whenever they hit ended up with a seriously dead player (RIP Harran, L4 Fighter). Heh heh. Anyway, as I’m probably going to tone down that ability slightly, my questions are:
How much play testing did you give the items/monsters in the play book?
And thus: If you were a player, what’s the vestige you’d want the most?Aye, any and all stats/creatures/elements of the book is open to alteration for your home campaign. If you felt the Stabby-stabbers frenzy is too strong, you can implement the secondary attacks be made with disadvantage. Generally they are considered to be an elite goblin killer, so more than one in an encounter can prove naaaasty.
We gave a bit of home play-testing on this end, and I believe some on Green Ronin’s side as well. Many of the design choices stem from experience and learning the systems, and some (like the designers that made the game) are just fun shots-in-the-dark for brave DMs to try. 😉
I wanna use The Condemner..
