@mattcolville finally my friends want to D&D so I’m going to DM (first for me). I found your videos which are an amazing help to newbies like me. But I’m not good with voices – is there a cheat to voices for NPC’s? This is one of a few things that I feel I’m lacking for the job.

It's completely unnecessary, tons of successful games happen without folks doing funny voices. If you want to try it, go for it! You'll look like an idiot, but so did everyone who ever tried it their first time, and it's fun! https://t.co/QzwkV392Sj

EXACTLY. It’s one possible tool in the tool box, but there are SO many others that are more important.

Honestly, just physicality can change everything. How you hold yourself. NPC of royalty or privilege? Sit upright with a lifted chin. Nasty beasty? Hunch and “claw” your fingers.
