What do you do when your adventurers want to commit REALLY STUPID crimes? What’s the role of the Sentinel Marshals in upholding the law? My latest #Eberron article answers these and many more questions! This is very useful information, but I have to question the pre-session monologue. Is it not better to show, don’t tell? For example, someone else enters the district at the same time, looking amazed at this place and the people. Then, later the same person is seen completely 1/2

It’s a matter of style. What I suggested was a meta-dialogue, taking place BEFORE we enter the world of the story; it’s the equivalent of a session zero, where we’re talking about the kind of story we’re going to tell when we begin. What you're suggesting is certainly more artistic and immersive. What I'm suggesting is more concrete and absolute: again, coming to an agreement on the story before we start to tell it, as I would in a session zero.
