That is a weird ruling. Do we need to make athletic checks to fly then? People with swims speeds still need to check? Really not sure I understand that logic.
Now anyone that wants to do those events has to be strong to have good athletics. Seems convoluted and unnecessary.
Athletics or acrobatics checks to do something challenging… sure.
