The Simbul was busy ruling (defending the realm against nigh-constant Thayan military aggression), and being a Chosen, too, so couldn’t train all those with the Gift that she wanted to. She’d train anyone she thought would remain loyal to Aglarond and stay to…2)

Thank you! So this means that most of the half-elf arcane spellcaster from the Yuirwood are self taught or learned their magic from elven forebears ? Most learn their magic from older elves of the Yuirwood, and experiment, trying to change spells they know. Not all are active enough in this to really be called "self taught," but if they travel the Realms, and meet sorcerers, their tinkering opportunities soar.#Realmslore
