I LOVE #Dnd5e, but my comment on levels/hp/monster damage not working at higher levels was anything but subjective. It doesn’t matter HOW you play it (HP as damage or skill). Chain a Lvl 20 character to a rock and attack them with a CR 15 monster, and it STILL takes forever… The encounter building guidelines are a little odd. CR is *not* the monster's "level equivalent." A CR 6 monster is an appropriate foe for a party of *four* 6th level characters. A single 20th level character should square off against a CR 5-8 monster.
