Noticed a group of fans demanding WotC demonstrate it cares] about "old school" @Wizards_DnD players. Well, WotC put me *in charge* of D&D and I'm an "old school" player myself. (I started playing in 1977 and designed 1E products for TSR!) Does that suffice? #WOTCstaff

Damn right it does!
If you’d be so kind, what was your favorite character?
And what are you playing currently? Favorite character: Zan-Yarr, my 1E monk who lost *two* battles to the Grand Master of Flowers. Playing now? I almost exclusively DM.

Works for me. Would you consider Manual of the Planes from TSR 1st ed or 2nd ed? I was First Edition. I wrote 1E material based on it.

Let’s face it THACO was not a well designed mechanic It was part of a natural evolution and a product of its age. First tables, then THAC0, then the modern “DC” system. It was innovative when it first arrived.
