Great wings flapped, the dragon turned with a gleeful flourish to lash out again, and the north tower followed the south into the moat. Displaced, the reeking water flooded the central courtyard.

…abruptly vanished in a flash of magical radiance. Just before the dragon whirled in midair and came thundering across the courtyard, straight at the gaping king.

This time, all of the remaining towers fell, and the main keep and halls, too, burying the dragon.
The new hills of heaped stones heaved a time or two, then fell still.
